What
Writing about my (mis)adventures and offering up (unsolicited) advice for like-minded travellers who are researching their next big trip
When
I started the blog in May 2015 but am trying my best to retrospectively post on my past adventures.
First trip overseas was a family road trip around New Zealand back in 1992.
First trip overseas without my family was a tour of France with a school group in 2000.
First trip abroad alone was in 2003 and I haven’t really stopped since.
Where
Currently living and working in Sydney, Australia.
Previously based in both Paris and London for study and work.
Maybe a few future moves on the horizon.
How
After a lot of research I decided to go with WordPress, perhaps to my detriment. I love the flexibility and all the forums and tutorials online on any number of features, but I often wonder whether I should have gone with a more basic and user friendly option.
Why
Why not? I like writing. I live to travel. I have heaps of research and raw information about all the places I’ve been (and some I’m still dreaming to visit). I keep all this information filed away neatly for my own private consumption. People are always asking for advice on where to go, what to do, where to stay and what to see and I figured I could make a one stop shop. I’ve also found it frustratingly difficult to source information on some places and so hopefully I will be able to help fill a void.
