Dingli Cliffs – with their steep drops, and the promise of breathtaking views of the Mediterranean were a must see on our tour of Malta.
The cliffs are the highest point in Malta – sitting around 250 metres above sea level. They sit about 13 kilometres from Valletta, and two kilometres from Rabat.
To be honest when we rushed here for sunset on our last night in Malta – I found it pretty underwhelming. Yes, the views of the sea were amazing. But you can’t really get a good view of cliffs (at least not from where we were) without edging so close to the cliff’s-edge that you might fall off.The sunset wasn’t amazing either – which may have something to do with our experience. Anyway I’m glad we went and it’s definitely worth the trip. But maybe it’d have been better to arrive earlier and spend some time walking along the cliffs and taking in the view.
