Karakuş Tomb actually turned out to be better than I thought.
From what we had read and from the pictures we saw it was just a solitude column sitting on a bit of a hill.
When we arrived we were indeed greeted by an eagle perched upon the column, but there were also a couple of other columns around the back, and a fourth to the north.
There’s also a big marble lion next to the fourth column which is worth a photo or two. The views from the site are also pretty amazing, and best of all, it’s free to see!
