From sex to sewage, and art to advertising. You name it, Paris has a museum dedicated to it.
The city is as famous for its galleries and museums as it is for its food and fashion.
Paris is bursting with dozens of world-renown museums from the small and unassuming, to the palatial.
Inside its museums are hundreds of exhibitions. A frequently changing selection of interesting displays focusing on the sordid details of people, places, times and things.
Know that most of Paris’ museums are free on the first Sunday of each month, so if you’re in town around then, save some money!
If you’re going to be hitting the Paris Musem scene pretty hard, it’s also a good idea to consider investing in a Paris Museum Pass.
They’re not cheap – starting at about $60 (plus postage, which could set you back another $35) – but they give you unlimited access to more than 60 museums and monuments in Paris and the surrounding areas. When you consider each museum costs about $20 for entry alone, you can see the value.
For more information, check out the Paris Museum Pass official website.
